Market leader. Elementary. Coursebook.

The new Market Leader series is a great improvement upon the previous 2 series.
The book comes complete with DVD allowing students to do a far wider range of exercises than in the past. The units are up-to-date and far more realistic than in the past. For example at the Elementary level Unit 3 is entitled PROBLEMS.
The entire series draws heavily on material from the Financial Times: Pearson now owns both the FT and the publisher Longman.
A word of warning about the levels though: from experience we have found that each level of ML new edition is pitched slightly above the headline level, i.e. Elementary is false beginner/pre-intermediate, pre-intermediate is slightly more difficult than other comparable courses etc.
The role plays are also great - but these really come into their own from Pre-Intermediate upwards.
